Department of B.Ed.came into existence in 2010 as a Teacher's Training Department in Government Self-Finance Mode, Affiliated by Kumaun University,Nainital, and then shifted to Soban Singh Jeena University,Almora in 2020.This department run only 2 year Bachelor programme of Teacher Training (B.Ed) .This Programme is successfully running in the College since 2010, Which approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Jaipur. Presently all the students who have appeared and passed in the Entrance Examination conducted by Soban Singh Jeena University Almora are eligible to be considered for admission, which is on Merit bases. Presently it has intake of 55 students.

Teachers play a very important role in a student's life. It is to a great extent, the teachers who decide the shape a student's life will take. So, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model to the students. To achieve this, Bachelor of Education or B.Ed. was introduced, which will teach a person about teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching.Since then the Faculty is trying its best to produce teachers embodied with cultural traditions of our society and also modern enough to keep pace with changing times. The Faculty is situated at Lohaghat (Champawat) Uttarakhand. The Faculty of Education has been fulfilling the cherished dream of the Teacher Training Goals,they have done appreciable service to the cause of education and nation-building by producing Qualitative Teachers who contribute for Society.The products of the Department have been served many department of Government of Uttarakhand,Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Navodaya Vidyalays and Higher Education Commissions etc.
