About the department
The Art faculty of Swami Vivekanand Government Post Graduate College, Lohaghat was established in 1979 with few Humanities Subjects. The faculty which started with a few subjects at undergraduate level in 1979 is today imparting education in 11 subjects in UG and 13 subjects in PG level. The Art faculty of college is working with the aim to provide the comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the discipline. The faculty have a vision to educate students with the true meaning and the concept of education so that they are able to contribute their share in transforming the education system as per the need of hour of their locality as well as the nation. The faculty members here are highly educated, experienced and competitive in their approach.
